The KnowHOW application offers robust support for a wide range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) driven by data processed from Jira. This feature greatly aids end-users in analyzing and gaining insights into different performance indicators utilized within their respective project.

Effectively configuring Jira tool in KnowHOW involves two steps-

  1. Setup Jira Query Language (JQL) or Jira Board.

  2. Setup Jira Mappings.

**While configuring the tool, User may come across below terminologies, hence it is recommenced to go through glossary below-

To Add/Edit Jira Tool Configuration navigate to setting< project< project setting < click on Add/Edit Configuration (Refer to /wiki/spaces/PSKNOWHOW/pages/2916364 for project setup/configuration)

Add Configuration

  • Navigate to the above page

  • Click on the “Set Up“ button to open a Jira configuration window

  • Select the Existing Jira connection or create a new Jira connection ( Refer to the page to configure a new Jira connection)

  • Enter Jira Project Key

  • Select JQL or Board option using the toggle (It cannot be updated after it has been saved.)

  • Select a board from the Jira board or enter a JQL query based on the requirement

  • Select the Jira Configuration template from the drop-down

  • Save the changes by clicking the ‘save’ button to save the changes.

  • Congrats, we are done with all steps and it is ready to use

Edit Configuration

  • Navigate to the above page

  • Update all the required fields

Note - The option to choose between Board or JQL can only be done once for a Project configuration. If the option needs to change i.e. from Board to JQL or vice versa, a new project needs to be created.
