Introduction:

Add and edit Jira connections for fetching data from Jira.

Add Jira connection

To add a new Jira connection

  • From the drop-down, select the connection type Jira

  • Click on the "New Connection" button a pop-up window will open.

  • Fill in all the required fields to save connection otherwise, a validation message will be shown below the mandatory field textbox.

  • Save the connection

  • Is Connection Private:

Checking this box will limit the visibility of this connection only to the creator of this connection.
All connections which are not marked private are visible and usable for all users of the system.

Authentication Options

You have some authentication options available for Jira connections:

  • Basic Authentication: Use your username and password to authenticate with Jira.

  • Bearer Token Authentication: Use a bearer token for authentication.

  • OAuth Authentication: Use OAuth credentials for secure authentication.

Once saved successfully, the newly added Jira connection will appear under the "Connections" tab on the connections screen.

Edit Connection

To edit Jira connection

  • Go to the existing Jira connection shown in the above image.

  • Select the connection and click on the edit icon.

  • Update the details in the pop-up window.

  • Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.
